Where Coastal Beauty Meets Vineyard Excellence
Our
Story
Nestled along the dramatic southern coastline of Marlborough lies Rileys Lookout (Panau Island), a hidden gem brimming with natural beauty and abundant treasures of the sea. This small island, renowned for its New Zealand rock lobsters, inspires a moment to pause, savor, and connect—a tradition we cherish as a family.
On our journeys to the vineyards of Marlborough, we often stop at Rileys Lookout to enjoy the bounty of the coast, with fresh lobster and breathtaking views. It’s a place that embodies the harmony of nature, family, and shared moments—a spirit that we pour into every bottle of Rileys Lookout wines. Our Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and vibrant, captures the essence of this unique coastal terroir. Its bright citrus and tropical notes pair beautifully with the rich flavors of the local lobster, creating a sensory journey that transports you to the shores of Panau Island. Rileys Lookout Wines isn’t just about exceptional wine; it’s about celebrating the journey, the land, and the connections we make along the way. From our family to yours, here’s to savoring life’s extraordinary moments—one sip at a time.

Our Approach

Certified: Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand
Rileys Lookout Wine is proudly Sustainable Winegrowing NZâ„¢ certified. Sustainable Winegrowing NZâ„¢ is widely recognised as a world-leading sustainability programme and was one of the first to be established in the international wine industry in 1995.

Region: Marlborough
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes used to make Rileys Look Out are grown in Marlborough. Marlborough put New Zealand on the international wine stage with its exquisite Sauvignon Blanc in the 1980s. Over 20,000ha of vines (around 2/3 of the national total) are under the care of local wine producers, making it the country's largest wine region. Marlborough wineries offer a huge range of varieties, from exquisite Pinot Noir to intense Chardonnay, and vivacious aromatics. The diverse soils and meso-climates are revealing exciting new sub-regions, and it is within these unique sub-regions that Marlborough’s future lies.
